You'll find a range of self-guided walks that take in the village and beyond. Pick up maps from the Visitor Information Centre in the historic Market Building on Mostyn Street and start exploring.

The open air

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the lake in the Botanical Gardens. Home to significant trees, indigenous plants, gentle paths, playground and rotundas - there's something for everyone and each season is unique. Visit Buda Historic Home and Garden with its magnificent 19th Century gardens and house, check out Mount Alexander or head out along the Goldfields Track by foot or on two wheels.
