Overview

Gear up and get active this winter at Falls Creek, Victoria's largest alpine resort and the spiritual home of cross-country skiing. A treasure trove for thrill seekers, Falls Creek boasts true ski-in/ski-out accommodation, 65 kilometres of free cross-country trails, downhill skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, and terrain parks with some of the best rails and jumps around.

Falls Creek is also the official training base for the Australian national cross-country team and hosts the annual Kangaroo Hoppet, the largest snow sport event in the southern hemisphere.

A helping hand

Need a hand getting off the starting blocks or just want to take your skills to the next level? Choose from a variety of adult, child or advanced lessons at the snowsports school. Snowclub 4 Kids runs classes for children aged three to six, while the junior programs cater for seven to 14-year-olds.

White nights

Settle into your choice of digs, from cosy lodge-style accommodation and budget dorm options to five-star luxury penthouse apartments and spa suites. With over 5,000 beds available in the village, there's something to suit everyone's taste and budget.

Relax after an exhilarating day in the snow with a beer on the deck, a hot dinner at one of the local cafes or restaurants, or hit the day spa for a bit of pampering. Exhausted from a day on the slopes? Stock up on supplies at the local supermarket and bottle shop and enjoy an indulgent night in.

All in the family

There's no shortage of activities to keep the kids entertained all winter long. Get competitive over a game of snow bocce, build the perfect snowman, or catch the night show spectacular on Thursday nights for fireworks and snowboarding displays. At Twilight Tuesdays catch an appearance by Pete the Snow Dragon. For more fun in the snow, sign up for night skiing on Wombats Ramble, snowshoeing, tubing or even a mile high lunch on the mountain.
